The innovative array of projects on Polygon adds yet another name to the list. This time, it is a move-to-earn fitness app called SNKRZ. The app allows users to earn native SNKRZ tokens for every step taken outdoors in the real world. Users can begin taking a stroll on the app, based on which they will receive the rewards.
SNKRZ is a fitness metaverse where users can earn and upgrade their SNKRZ NFTs by doing their everyday workouts. The rewards offered are based on “stamina” users earn daily, and the higher your stamina is, the more exclusive the rewards will be.
The app allows users to select sneakers on the app to walk in style. These virtual sneakers are NFTs offered to the users who sign up with the app. The NFT abilities increase every time the users level up on the app. The app has six abilities for the SNKRZ NFTs, namely Performance, Luck, Durability, Quality, Fever, and Boost.
Users will be awarded random items like dubraes, patches, and laces, depending on their abilities and level on the app. These upgrades enhance the SNKRZ NFT’s ability and let users create unique NFTs. Users can also rent their SNKRZ NFTs to others to earn extra rewards on their collection as they are being used.
The app comes with a dual-token system. SKZ is the token used for games available on the app. Other utilities of this token include repair, level-up, participation in lucky draws, and many more. FNF is the governance token on the SNKRZ app that is earned much higher. The second token is important to SNKRZ governance and economy.
The tweet from the official Polygon Studios handle on June 10 confirmed that the app has entered the Polygon ecosystem as the first move-to-earn app. Now, the app will receive necessary assistance from the NFT arm of the network to reach a wider NFT market.
Polygon Studios also mentioned buying virtual plots in the SNKRZ land. SNKRZ land is a virtual landscape based on real-world geography, and users can claim their territory and offer various quests and rewards. The virtual land also allows the owners to earn passive income when others visit their territory.
The NFT arm of Polygon is already home to several NFT and metaverse projects like Decentraland, Skyweaver, The Sandbox, and many others. So this could be a potential opportunity for SNKRZ to introduce many other use cases for its SNKRZ NFTs.
