Sasha Pieterse and her husband, Hudson Sheaffer, have been together for over half a decade. The couple has gone through their share of highs and lows in their relationship.
However, their life seems to be on a stable upward trajectory since their wedding. Pieterse and Sheaffer welcomed a baby two years ago and recently moved to a new place.
Their wedding was, to say the least, from a fairytale. A dreamy, happy, extravagant occasion, it set the tone for how their lives have been from then until now.
Sasha Pieterse and Her Husband’s Relationship
Pieterse and her husband met sometime before 2015, although they have not yet talked about their first meeting or how things took off. She has, however, provided details on what they based their relationship on.
Honesty, commitment, loyalty, mutual support, open communication, and love were the five things she sought in a man and in a relationship. “I think it’s incredible that I have all of that in him,” she said of her husband while talking to People in 2017.
On December 22, 2015, Pieterse and Sheaffer announced they were engaged. “The best day of my life,” the actress penned on her Instagram announcement, whereas he just wrote, “She said yes!!!”
Wedding talks began instantly as the two meticulously planned for their wedding. After over a year of deciding on details, the two finally got married at Castle Leslie in Glaslough, Ireland, on May 27, 2018. Theirs was an amazing nuptial, the details of which we will discuss a bit later.
Exactly two years after getting married, they were ready to share another great news with their fans — the news of their first baby. On May 27, 2020, Pieterse announced she was pregnant with the couple’s first baby.
In her announcement, she also revealed they were expecting their baby in October 2020.
Her delivery was a bit later than expected, but nothing medically serious. Their son — Hendrix Wade Sheaffer — was born on November 6, 2020, at 5:39 am, weighing in at 7lbs 15oz.

As of July 2022, the family of three live in Nashville, Tennessee. They moved there shortly before July.
Sasha Pieterse’s Fairytale Wedding with Hudson Sheaffer
As mentioned above, Pieterse had everything about her wedding planned and re-planned multiple times. There were many features written about the Pretty Little Liars actress’s preparations and ideas for her special day.
By April 2017, she was already deciding on her hair and makeup to go with her white dress. She had narrowed down her hairstyle choices to three — a baby’s breath-adorned, twisted style, a darling dutch braid, and a sweet milkmaid-braided updo.
Ryan Richman and Kirin Bhatty did these hair and makeup trials on her, respectively, and they would do her final makeup for her nuptials as well.
As for her wedding theme, she wanted the vibe of her ceremony to be “ethereal.” She wanted her venue to look modern and simple but with a lot of green and had her mind set on having eucalyptus, olive branches, moss, and candles as decorations.
Another thing she wanted to be streamlined and simple was her wedding dress, although it was anything but a simple design.
Everything decided upon would have to be executed perfectly at their Castle Leslie wedding on May 27, 2018. And they were.
The bride wore a custom Christian Siriano off-shoulder gown with a billowing tulle skirt. Her accessories comprised a XIV Karats necklace and Zadig & Voltaire bracelets.
Pieterse, as it turned out, went for none of the tried-upon hairstyles. Instead, she wore her hair wavy and free.
For his part, Sheaffer wore a black tux with a white shirt underneath and had his hair in a textured quiff, complimenting his wife’s hair and the easy-going wedding vibe. He completed his looks with a pair of black shoes and a classic black tie.
The venue was exactly as she wanted it — a lot of green, open, and ethereal.
