In October 2021, Tim Burton was the talk of the town after being honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 16th Rome Film Festival. The acclaimed director stated the bestowal was special to him and thanked all the people who had inspired him.
A month later, Burton was spotted celebrating his win by taking time off his schedule to enjoy a casual stroll while walking a dog with an unidentified woman in Italy. The appearance made main page news on Daily Mail, leading fans to wonder if the mystery woman was his girlfriend.
Burton was dressed in an all-black ensemble with a matching black fedora hat and reflective sunglasses. Meanwhile, his brunette friend wore a sleeveless black cashmere top paired with a plaid skirt, black socks, and sneakers.
Burton, in his typical style of keeping things private, never shared if he was dating her. And since then, there has been no news of him having any girlfriend. But that doesn’t mean his dating history is blank.
Tim Burton’s Rumored Girlfriend Eva Green
Previously, the Wednesday director was romantically linked with Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children star Eva Green.

In 2015, rumors were going around that the director was secretly dating Green, 22 years his junior.
The pair had first worked in Burton’s 2012 film, Dark Shadows, and struck up a friendship.
In December 2015, Burton was photographed with his arm around his rumored girlfriend while dressed in a matching all-black ensemble.
They strolled through the streets of Fitzrovia after dining at a Japanese restaurant and looked like they enjoyed each other’s company as Green was seen laughing and smiling.
But in June 2016, Green cleared up the rumors during an interview with W magazine, stating she admired the acclaimed actor but professionally. She explained she had always dreamed of working with Burton, so when she got the call for the role of Miss Peregrine, she was more than ready.
Tim Burton and Ex Girlfriend Helena Bonham Carter’s Relationship
Before Burton was allegedly dating Green, he was in the longest relationship of his life with one of his frequent collaborators, Helena Bonham Carter.
They met in 2001 when Burton cast Carter in Planet of the Apes. From 2001 through 2016, the former couple made nine films together, and also two children, although they never married.
In 2013, rumors surfaced Burton was spotted kissing another woman. When asked about it, Carter dismissed it as fake news.
Then, in December 2014, they confirmed their separation. Shortly after, rumors started that Burton was dating his production assistant Berenice Percival. It was widely believed that his alleged girlfriend was the reason for Burton and Carter’s separation.
The duo had gotten close while working together, and soon Percival was accompanying Burton on his business trips.
According to reports, they bonded during their trip to Vancouver. However, their whirlwind romance fizzled out pretty soon.
