Daniel Craig has been married to his wife, Rachel Weisz, since 2011. He has never come out as bisexual and publicly identifies as straight.
But there was a time when people thought he was gay. In 2021, National Inquirer printed out news stating, “007 hunk Daniel Craig shared a steamy kiss with a smoking hot guy in the parking lot of a gay bar.”
At the time, the patrons who had seen Craig hugging another guy at the gay bar and people who had read the news had second thoughts about his sexuality.
However, in October 2021, the actor clarified during an interview with Bruce Bozzi on SiriusXM’s Lunch with Bruce podcast that he always preferred gay bars and had been frequenting them “for as long as [he could remember.”
And his reason was fairly simple.
Daniel Craig Clarifies Why He Loves Gay Bars
The actor explained he gravitated toward such spaces because he was tired of the toxic masculinity in the hetero bars and did not get into fights that often in non-hetero bars.
“Because the aggressive [expletive] swinging in hetero bars, I just got very sick of it as a kid because it’s like I don’t want to end up being in a punch-up. And I did. That would happen quite a lot,” clarified the 007 star.
He added everybody was chill at the non-hetero bars, and people did not have to state their sexuality.

In addition, Craig could still meet a lot of girls because there would be a lot of girls for the same reason.
Craig also recounted the night he was spotted kissing another man in a California bar. The “smoking hoy guy” that the national inquirer was referring to was none other than the host himself.
Bozzi — who is homosexual and married to Carrie Fisher’s ex-husband, Bryan Lourd — and Craig were out for the evening and discovered by the paparazzi leaving the gay bar.
The two were having a nice night out talking about their life and soon got drunk and went to a non-hetero bar. When they left the bar, they hugged it out, which attracted the attention of the paparazzi.
“We’re tactile, we love each other. We give each other hugs, it’s OK. We’re two grown men,” Craig said about Bozzi.

Daniel Craig Showing Love to Rami Malek
Speaking of showing love, Craig made another headline when he admitted he kissed his No Time to Die co-star, Rami Malek.
Ahead of the film’s release, Craig and his co-stars sat down with Entertainment Weekly, where the former opened up about locking lips after their scenes together.
“I kissed him, alright! I kiss lots of people,” Craig said. “It’s like, I’m a friendly guy, and I wouldn’t rank anybody,” said the actor, explaining it was terrible to rank people on the kisses they gave and that he might offend 1000s of people.
For his part, Malek joked that he would rush through his scenes just so that he could get kissed by the James Bond actor.
