Brian D’Arcy James has built up a diverse and reputable career in Hollywood.
He started his acclaimed acting career on various television sitcoms, including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Education of Max Bickford, and Rescue Me.
The actor continued to work steadily in television throughout the early 2000s and the 2010s. During these years, he worked with some of the biggest names in the industry.

For James, all professional success is fueled by his family support, especially his wife, Jennifer Prescott.
James and Prescott have been married for almost four decades after they first met when they appeared in a 1994–95 Lincoln Center production of Carousel.
And Prescott has been with her husband even before he was successful and famous.

But despite the bulging résumé and raft of awards, James’ wife assures that success has not changed her husband.
During an interview with Northwestern University, Prescott shared the 13 Reasons Why star was humble with no “diva bone in [his] body.”
She added her husband was also always confident and positive about his craft, a trait common amongst the D’Arcy James siblings.
“They’re positive and confident. Remarkably, Brian has never stopped working as an actor, never had to wait tables in the early years,” said Prescott.
Speaking on James’ passion, she shared that instead of doing odd jobs in the early days of his career, the actor forked out money from his pocket for some corporate shows.
The actress was certainly proud of her husband, but she had one regret. She wished more people had watched her husband’s performance as the alcoholic Irish businessman in the off-Broadway Conor McPherson play Port Authority.
In 2008, New York magazine listed the play as one of the most unforgettable performances of the year and commended James’ “transformative range.”

Prescott runs a blog teaching people how to live sustainably at home or in the workplace. She believes that greener choices, big and small, can impact the lives and health of the people and the planet.
And to ensure that people could apply what they learned, Prescott founded ‘green design GOODS,’ a sustainable brand that offers everyday non-toxic and eco-friendly products to help one achieve an eco-friendly lifestyle and zero-waste goals.
She is also a green Consultant and Sustainable Education consultant and frequently hosts seminars and webinars for groups of all ages to educate people on how one’s consumptive behavior, product choices, and waste affect the environment.
In May 2020, James uploaded an Instagram post asking his followers to check out the webinar his wife was hosting. It looks like the actor often promotes his partner’s work on his Instagram just like she does his.
